Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is stored and used. The Information We Use

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted through our website or applications.

Borange keeps the following information about its users:

  • Your full name.
  • Your primary email address.
  • Your other email addresses or phone numbers, if you choose.

Each time you use Borange to share your availability with selected contacts, you will send us:

  • The selected contacts' names, as they appear in your address book.
  • The selected contacts' email addresses or phone numbers that you selectively choose.
  • Your current location, if you choose.
  • Your availability status, including the time and message.

Borange does not upload your entire address book to our service, and our service only sees the particular contacts that you choose to be available to. Borange does not upload your address book photos or your address book groups, nor the street addresses or any notes that you may have associated with contacts in your address book.

The Way We Use Information

We use and store the information described above to help you privately share your availability.

Of this information, the following is shared with the contacts you become available to:

  • Your full name.
  • The email addresses or phone numbers of yours which you have marked as 'callback', so that these contacts know how to reach you.
  • Your location, if you chose to include it.
  • Your availability status, including the time and message.

The rest of the information you send to Borange is kept private:

  • The full list of recipients that you are available to is not shared with any outside party. The contacts you are available to cannot see the names or addresses of anyone else you are available to, even when you are available to multiple people at once.
  • The contact names that you use to identify people in your own address book are not shared with any outside party, including those contact themselves. If you have a private nickname for someone in your address book, he or she will not see it.
  • If you register additional email addresses or phone numbers with Borange but do not mark them as 'callback identities', they will not be shared with anyone.

Borange may use your usage patterns to customize your user experience.

We may use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and application and to share with partners. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals have used our service, or that Y number of individuals are available at certain times for certain activities, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

We do not share your personally identifiable information with outside parties, other than the contacts you tell us to share it with.

We do not send email or SMS text messages to any of your contacts, except on your behalf, when you direct us to.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

All network traffic between you and Borange containing personally identifying information is encrypted using SSL, the same protection that is used online by banks and financial institutions. This means that you can use Borange on public wi-fi hotspots safely.

How You Can Access, Change, or Delete Your Information

You can access your personal information by logging in to your account through your application or the web. Access to your information is safeguarded by a password. You may change your personal information, or delete the personal information you have submitted to us. You may delete your entire account.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
